An evening of stand-up comedy in an intimate venue sat at candlelit tables. Five comedians will entertain you and headlining the evening is Mark Dolan who is best known for presenting Balls of Steel.
Mark Dolan is a comedian, writer and presenter who made his name in the 2002 hidden camera series, The Richard Taylor Interviews, in which he gave job applicants horrendous interviews. He has fronted The Last Word debate show on More 4 and appeared on Sky One's movie review show Popcorn, but is probably best known for hosting Channel 4's Friday night entertainment show, Balls of Steel in 2005 and 2006. Dolan started his career on the live circuit, where he still appears, making it to the finals of new act competition So You Think You're Funny in 2000.
Opening the evening is Sooz Kempner. 2012 Funny Women Variety Award Winner Sooz Kempner will be bringing her fantastic voice, trusty keyboard and super sharp lyrics to The Crown! Voted Best Newcomer at the 2010 Musical Comedy Awards, where Abandoman walked away with the main prize, Sooz whose biggest dream is to be in the musical Wicked took her show Defying Gravity to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014 to rave reviews.
Hosting the evening is Pete Dobbing. A co-conspirator of some of the most exciting projects in comedy including 'Machynlleth Comedy Festival', 'The Top Secret Comedy Club' and the 'Comedian's Comedian' Podcast. Pete has boundless enthusiasm for articulating the inarticulable, and a former life as one of Covent Garden's most intuitive street performers make for a confident and original proposition.
